During evaluation trenching in June 2016, three buildings were found on site that had been earlier cited by the first series O.S.Map. Seven trial trenches revealed The Barn and Courtyard as on the First
Series OS maps, together with two other buildings, one an Oast House Roundel also on the map.
The barn had been truncated by the formation of the modern barns leaving only the northern post pad alignment and cobbled porch. (3)
