The site of the Victorian terminal of the Sandgate railway built in 1874 and closed in 1931.
The Sandgate station referred is visible on the 2nd edition Ordnance Survey Map (1898) at TR 18849 34989 but was subsequently demolished as seen on the 4th edition Ordnance Survey (1938). (1)
