Description of farmstead:
Quote from archaeological survey-'very good farmstead'.
Signs that it suffered a fire in the C18. Farmhouse, barn, stables, pigeon house, north wall, enclosed garden and cottage are result of same build ?1707? L plan of farm faces onto road from a short distance. Late C18 and C19 stable with cartsheds, a barn and a tall multi-purpose pigeon house with tall boundary walls enclosing the yard and large garden east of farmhouse. Walls mostly C18 however a part of it was rebuilt due to railway track being laid out. Residential cottage is present in south east corner
