Full Description
(TQ5671 Sited to locality only) A Mesolithic, Neolithic occupation site. A late mesolithic / early neolithic peat-filled lake was discovered, containing over 16,000 flint artefacts including three mesolithic axes and a pick, and a small quantity of neolithic pottery and a saddle quern. Environmental evidence was also found including seeds, pollen, bone, nuts, wood, plants and insects (1)
