The farm was established at some time during the 17th century, with its current form and layout in existence by around 1871. During the 1840s, the site comprised a farmhouse, a barn with a shelter and cow shed alongside attached enclosed storage space, a brickwork oxen stable, and another possible cow shed. Between 1880 and 1940 there is evidence for a long farming depression at the site, with the farm focusing largely on dairy production.
Two shelter sheds were added during the latter half of the 19th century, alongside an associated brickwork enclosure. Despite many alterations and replacement of historic fabrics, over the lifespan of the farm, the original typology of the structures and the building envelopes still survive at the site.
