This feature is recorded in the English Heritage Historic Area Assessment for St Mary Hoo Parish. The report states: "Several farmsteads developed along the routeway [Ratcliffe Highway]; some remained as isolated sites, such as…Barn Street Farm. Several farmsteads have passed out of agricultural use including Barn Street Farm." (3)
