Full Description
In 2007 and 2008 the Kent Archaeological Field School carried out an excavation at the Blacklands Roman site. The earliest traces of activity dated to the Neolithic period, being numerous flakes, cores and debitage. It is unclear if these were simply residual and found in later features or if any in situ Neolithic activity was encountered. (1)
