Full Description
Site of former oast house at Little Darmans Farm. Built sometime between 1840 and 1875 (nothing is visible on the Tithe map of 1840 but a possible building is visible on the first edition Ordnance Survey map). A kiln has clearly been added by the time of the second edition OS (1897 - 1900). The oast house is still visible in aerial photographs from the 1940s but it is not shown on the 1990 aerial photos.
