Oast house north east of Broughton Manor, Otford. The oast appears on the first edition Ordnance Survey map (1862 - 1875) as a rectangular building with two circular kilns on the north east and north west sides of the structure (it is not visible on the Tithe map of 1844). The fourth edition OS map (1929 - 1952) shows the oast house still complete. By 1990 the aerial photographs show the building has been demolished, although the kilns remain. There are no aerial photos for this area before 1990 to date accurately when the structure was reduced in size.
