Full Description
Former site of an oasthouse to the northwest of West Street in West Malling. First recorded in the 2nd edition OS Map, suggesting a date of construction at some point in the last quarter of the nineteenth century, and consisting of six roundels. In the 4th edition OS the building is recorded with four roundels, suggesting one roundel on the northwest wall and one on the northeast wall had been demolished in the first half of the twentieth century. The building is visible in the 1940s aerial photographs with four roundels, but is no longer visible by the 1990 photographs, suggesting it was demolished in the second half of the twentieth century.
Identified by the Historic Farmsteads Survey. (1)
