Full Description
Oasthouse to the north of Bow Hill House. The building is first recorded as a rectangular structure without roundels in the 1845 tithe map of West Farleigh, suggesting it was constructed in the first half of the nineteenth century. It is recorded as having two roundels in the 1st edition OS Map, though two more appear to have been constructed by the time of the 2nd edition OS at the end of the nineteenth century – one beside the pre-existing pair on the northwestern side, and another on its northeastern side. The oasthouse remains visible in aerial photographs from the 1940s onwards.
