Full Description
In November 2006 a 16th century pottery kiln was found on Beechin Wood Lane. It was excavated by the Otford Archaeological Group having been located during the digging of foundations for a new house (Kiln Oast?). It measured 4m by 2.8m and was lined with bricks which had vitrified. Over 50 sherds of pottery were found. (1)
