Full Description
Area K was a portion of the Grain-Shorne pipeline to the north-east of Higham village excavated in 2008.
A possible medieval enclosure was identified. It was 35m long, at least 8m wide and had an entrance in the south-west corner. The ditches were 0.68m wide and 0.2m deep. Three undated pits within the enclosure could have been related to its use. They were 0.8m wide and 0.12m deep. A sherd of 12th century date was found. (1-2)
