Full Description
Late nineteenth to early twentieth century hop pickers huts around edge of field.
The site consists of three rectangular buildings with probable toilets associated to each structure and one well. These are shown on the second edition 1897 -1900 Ordnance Survey map, the well is present in the first edition 1862-1875 Ordnance survey map, but none of the structures.
The third edition 1907-1923 Ordnance Survey map shows three additional rectangular structures, and the longest North Eastern structure has been separated into two buildings. All structures have been demolished before the production of the fourth edition Ordnance Survey map of 1929-1952.
