Full Description

Hop pickers huts South East of Owens Farm.
Shown on the second edition Ordnance Survey map of 1897-1900 there are three grouping of rectangular structures. The northern most consists of four buildings constructed in a square in the south east corner of the field. These appear in the 1940’s aerial photographic survey.

The second grouping are to the south running parallel to the field boundary, one of which is still shown on the 1940s aerial survey.

A third group are associated with the eastern field boundary, two at right angles to it and the most southerly building running parallel. The two running parallel are shown in the 1940s aerial survey with an additional structure to the north.

No structures remain on the 1990 aerial photographic survey.
