Full Description

The first edition Ordnance Survey map of 1862-75, shows four rectangular structures around the edges of the chalk pit.
On the second edition Ordnance Survey map show an expansion of buildings. Two additional structures have been erected to the south of the chalk pit, forming a square of buildings. Along the field boundaries to the north of the chalk pit, eight rectangular buildings with eight small square buildings associated are shown. Four small rectangular buildings have also been built in the chalk pit.

The third edition Ordnance Survey map shows a further expansion of the site. Four more rectangular buildings have been constructed along the field boundary, with an addition of four small rectangular buildings butting each other in the centre of the rows of hoppers huts.

On the 1940s aerial survey the square of buildings to the south of the chalk pit have been demolished.

No structures remain on the 1990 aerial survey.
