Full Description
Oast built in Dargate in the first half of the nineteenth century - the OS Drawing and the Tithe map of 1840 show a rectangular building. In the middle of the nineteenth century three roundels were added - shown on the OS first, second and third edition maps and also the 1940s aerial photo. The roundels were demolished in the middle of the twentieth century - not visible on the 1990 aerial photo.
