Full Description
The 1840s Tithe map of Shipborne, possibly shows the oast house in close association with two rectilinear structures in parcel 514. The second edition Ordnance Survey map (1897-1900), shows only this building remaining. This map also shows the rounded eastern end, indicating the oast kiln. Between 1990 and 1990 (evident form the aerial surveys) the rectangular structure has been demolished, only leaving the round oast end intact.
