Full Description

The first edition Ordnance Survey map (1862-75), shows a large building, with a smaller rectangular structure associated with it, next to the junction of a road named Pepper Alley. Before the production of the second edition Ordnance Survey (1897-1900) was produced these structures have been dramatically altered. This late nineteenth century map shows only one building and this building’s has two oasts on its western wall. This building is demolished however, in the early-twentieth century, prior to the third edition Ordnance Survey’s (1907-23) production.
