Full Description
In 2002/3 Canterbury Archaeological Trust carried out a watching brief on a pipeline route. A continuous scatter of prehistoric struck flint was found along the route. 564 individual pieces were recovered from the plough soil and stripped surface. This material was mostly of Late Neolithic and Bronze Age character but there were a handful of pieces that could be of Mesolithic date and a number of Neolithic pieces. Most pieces were flakes but cores and implements were also recovered. (1)
