Full Description
In 2002/3 Canterbury Archaeological Trust carried out a watching brief on a pipeline route. A series of intercutting pits were found with a sherd of Early Bronze Age pottery and worked flints. The pits could have been dug to extract chalk or flint. The Early Bronze Age pottery is potential residual but the fresh flint cores suggest flint working on site contemporary with the pit digging.
