Hexagonal type pillbox, with 7 embrasures: still has grass camouflage on roof. [This pillbox marks the N end of the Uckfield to Penshurst section of the GHQ Line].
Type 24 pillbox. 'Thick walled'. Standard type 24 pillbox, brick-shuttered, situated adjacent to River Medway, with field of fire E and NE to road bridge over River Medway on Penshurst to Bidborough road. In field close to road bridge over the river at Penshurst; near Elliott Farm buildings.
