Full Description
Site of a Second World War dummy battery. The third such dummy in the area, located at the end of the Martin Mill Military Railway (or at the end of a dummy extension of the line). It does not fully resemble Pooh, Winnie, Clem, Jane or Bruce and its precise intended function is unclear. Visible on aerial photos of 1946/7, the site was cleared in the post war years.
