Full Description

The House in the Street is a cottage located in The Street, Newington in Kent. The cottage was built in the 17th century by an architect unknown at the time of this record’s amendment. The cottage now no longer exists; it was demolished in November 1967.
The cottage was of the Wealden type and consisted of a central hall and north and south wings. The cottage was made up of stone and flint rubble and the interiors features wattle and daub panels and original rafters. A kitchen that had been added at the rear of the building was probably 19th century in origin. (1)
