Full Description

A Second World War air raid shelter at Stone House Hospital. It had two entrances leading to a concrete trench built shelter. A plant room still contained an air filtration unit and original fittings, such as lighting. The structure was possibly demolished as part of redevelopment of the site. (1)

The existence of Second World War air raid shelters at City of London Mental Hospital, is mentioned in a document of March, 1941. No other information is available. (2)
