Full Description
In 2006 Archaeology South-East carried out an excavation. A small barrow was found to the north of the much larger example. The ring ditch was 1m wide, 0.25m deep and had an internal diameter of just 3.9m. Three adult crouched inhumations had been buried within the barrow. Three small pits were also found, two containing very fragmented and degraded infant bones. The third small pit could also therefore once have contained an infant burial. None of the burials contained any grave goods or dating material. (1)
