Full Description
Second World War light anti-aircraft battery (VD5) at the Vickers factory site, Brooklands, Dartford, Kent. It consisted of 1 quad mounted Vickers gun. It is first mentioned in a document of 1942. It was one of a grouping of batteries for defence of the Vickers factory. Its date of removal is unknown. (1)
Site visited to try to locate reported Light AA site. Nothing found. Map reference given seems to suggest an area where flooded gravel workings now cover the site. Lakes to north of Powder Mill Lane, Dartford (2)
