Full Description
Second World War air raid siren at the Whiting Works, Swanscombe Cross, Swanscombe, Kent. In place by September 1939, this may have been an industrial siren in temporary use for air raid precautions. Instructions for sounding would come from the Control Centre at Knockhall Lodge. Longevity unknown. The works were demolished post-war. (1)
