Full Description
Second World War First Aid Post established in 1939 in the basement of Metraro, a large Victorian house in Cobham Terrace Road, Greenhithe, Kent. Sandbagging and protection had been given by September, 1939 and overhead protection by January, 1942. A hut at the rear of the house was used by the Fire Fighter's Association in May, 1941. The longevity of the First Aid Post is unknown. The house was demolished at an uncertain date post war. (1-2)
