Monument record TQ 92 NE 26 - Medieval Pond at Brookland

Summary

An irregular feature was filled by dark grey silt clay which gradually merged with the natural, making it impossible to find the edge without full excavation. The whole area was very damp and was probably originally a pond. Several sherds of C13 pottery were recovered from the clay.
