Full Description
In 2005 the Trust for Thanet Archaeology carried out an excavation of three areas. The beaker period is represented by one small unstratified sherd of beaker pottery decorated with a single finger nail impression, possibly derived from a sealed deposit close to cut 1121 or 1125. Contemporary flintwork was represented by residual artefacts within features of later periods. These finds indicate that activity of this period is located in this area or in the immediate vicinity.
