Full Description
In 2005 the Trust for Thanet Archaeology carried out an excavation of three areas. The period from the middle Bronze Gae to the Later Iron Age is represented by residual sherds of Flint tempered pottery recovered from the fills of later features. Earlier Iron Age pottery was common in many of the features dated to later periods by a single late component within the ceramic assemblage. It is likely that settlement on of near the site was relatively intensive during this period and some of the features were probably cut at this time. (1)
