Full Description
Site of Second World War heavy anti-aircraft battery at Boyes Farm, Mersham, extant in June 1942. It mounted four 3.7-inch guns an was also equipped with GL Mark II fire-control radar. It was manned by 285 Battery of the 90th Royal Artillery Regiment. (1)
Six buildings of the camp survive (visible on aerial photos of 2008) with part of the access road still in use. The track from the camp to the gun positions is visible as a cropmark/soilmark, as are the four gun positions.
