Full Description
The Gun Room was built in the late 19th century (first appearing on the 2nd edition 25" OS mapping). It was associated with the Drill Hall. It was thought to have been used to store horse drawn artillery but the structure shown on early mapping adjacent to the west was perhaps more suited to this purpose. (1)
