Full Description

In 2012 Canterbury Archaeological Trust carried out a watching brief. A masonry wall with an associated dwarf wall foundation was found beneath the Swan Hotel (the Pantiles Hotel). It possibly relates to a building that occupied the site after the 1687 fire but before the current structure. (1)
