Full Description

In 2008 Canterbury Archaeological Trust carried out a watching brief and excavation. The earliest features found were four Beaker burials. These do not appear to have been within a barrow. One of the burials was accompanied by a beaker with a cremation within it. In the Early Bronze Age a ring ditch was dug on the western part of the site. There was no central burial found but a possible off-centre burial was found. (1)

The ring ditch is one of four identified as cropmarks in the area (TQ 86 SE 30).
