Full Description

In 2006 a dene hole was found during housing development on land west of Springhead Road. Kent Underground Research Group carried out a survey of the dene hole. The shaft was 8.5m deep and the chambers had been nearly completely filled with roof collapse. It was probably a four chambered medieval dene hole. (1)
