Monument record TQ 87 NW 106 - Cropmark of a ring ditch, east of Middle Stoke
Summary
The very faint cropmark traces of a ring ditch of uncertain date, possibly a Bronze Age round barrow, with a diameter of c.21m located in a field to the south-east of Lower Stoke. The ring ditch is faint and the northern part of the circuit hard to discern. This site was visible on aerial photographs taken in 2008 and was mapped as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. Two similar ring ditches were recorded from aerial photographs 800m to the west beyond Middle Stoke.
