Full Description
A probable Bronze Age ring ditch is visible as a cropmark in a Google Earth image of 2013 and in aerial photos from 1999, 2003 and 2012. Location accurate to the nearest 5m based on available information.
A ring ditch is visible as a cropmark in a Google Earth image of 2013 and in aerial photos from 1999, 2003 and 2012. It is 25m across.
The cropmark is dated to the Bronze Age in an archaeological assessment of the area carried out in 2021. (1)
A ring ditch forming part of a round barrow of Bronze Age date was visible as a cropmark in 35365/011 24-JUN-2024.This feature was mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (2)
