Full Description
During excavations associated with the East Kent Access route a single residual Palaeolithic flint flake was found in area 22 close to Telegraph Hill [initial reports and post-excavation assessments identified several Palaeolithic flakes (1) but most were subsequently regarded as post-Palaeolithic]. It was described uin a verbal communication as "hard-hammer struck, naturally-backed flake with orange staining overlying surface patination. It was a residual find in a later gully."
