Full Description
On Beach Street at the corner with Exchange Street is the Boatman’s Rooms, now restored as a private residence. The blue plaque is to the Reverend Thomas Stanley Treanor, a benefactor & author who was chaplain from 1878 to his death in 1910. He opposed smuggling.

At 191 Beach Street is a a concrete block embeded to the right of the door marking the name of Arnold Cawthrow (1913-1993)who lived here. Known for the 'I-spy Books'.
