Full Description
24 Acres Field 1.5km E of Burmarsh is divided by earthwork ditches up to 1m deep into 4 plots with smaller plots at the S end. These are in part natural drainage channels which have been adapted and extended. Field boundaries of this type may date from an early poeriod an Saxon charters give evidence of activity from the C9th. the smaller fields suggest a medieval date. (1)
