Full Description
Lower Palaeolithic handaxe found on the surface of a field below a cemetery on the edge of dry valley deposits. Private find on surface of arable field by D Poole, included within Southern Rivers Project (1, 2); location is imporant because although several surface handaxe finds are known from Chilham area, this is the only one with the discovery location well-recorded
