Full Description

Licensed in the late 18th century. The premises were large and in 1807 they were leased by Beers the Brewers, from maynards hospital for 30 years.

Licences and directories give the following names as innkeepers;

1829-31 William Moffatt
1848-49 George Newman
1861 Edward Fill Bing
1878-82 John Stredwick
1900 Tom M Miles

The Inn closed in 1918, purchased by the City Council and pulled down to form part of the site for the Electricity sub station.
