Full Description
Westbere, nr Sturry - numerous Palaeolithic handaxes (n=28) and other artefacts (including eight retouched flake-tools and 23 pieces of debitage) recovered from area to west of Butts public house. Seen by Roe in British Museum collection (1), then included in Southern Rivers Project (2, 3). No more precise info on provenance of material or circumstances of discovery
