Full Description
Mollusc-rich terrace deposits recorded in section opposite Grove Ferry station by J Brown in 1855 (1), which seems to represent fluvial deposits overlain by colluvial Head deposits. Mollusc species seen include Corbicula fluminalis and Hydrobia radigueli (2), suggesting pre-MIS 5e date and a degree of brackishness.
