Full Description
Mammoth and woolly rhino bones were found in abundance in late 1903 within "an area of 80 yards" c. 10ft below the ground surface in a thick brickearth spread c. 200m south-east of Tonge church (St Giles), in vicinity of old brick pit near Bunce's Farm (1, 2)
