Full Description
A Fremlins House inn.
This inn was in a Directory in 1882 which named the innkeeper as Stephen Maple. He was also listed as innkeeper in 1878 and 1888.
It was a pleasant looking inn but during the vast changes made to Military Road nearly 20 years ago this was one of the casualties.
The Little Wonder closed in 1969 and the license was transferred to the Brewery Secretary in the same year and has been held in suspense since 1970.
Perhaps the brewers will, one day, consider building another pleasant looking inn in the City and using the name once again.
