Full Description

The Canterbury UAD states that this was a Beer/Rigden/Fremlins/Whitbread inn.

This inn enjoyed a comparatively short life. It was listed in a Directory in 1878. It was owned by Beer and Rigden in 1888 with Henry Hammond as innkeeper. Towards the end of its existence as an inn it was a very popular one. Nunnery Tavern closed in 1968 and is now a private house.
