Full Description
A Fremlin/Whitbread inn.
The life of this inn was a comparatively short one. It probably received its first licences about 1878 when a Directory listed Charlotte Webb as innkeeper and in 1965 it was one of seven inns in Wincheap.
The Sportsman Inn closed in 1969 and there was a full transfer of the licence of the Sportsman to the Brewery Secretary in October 1969. There was no renewal in 1971. The former inn is now the Sportsman Café.
